Until filled Crystal Lake School District 47 currently has an opening for a School Administrative Assistant.
The goal of this position is to provide a positive first impression of the school community for all parents/faculty/visitors who enter the building, providing them with information regarding school business, as requested.
In addition, this position maintains and implements a variety of office related responsibilities in an effort to assist building administration in the management of the school day.
The ideal candidate will:
Answer telephones, taking messages for faculty and administration, documenting information regarding student absences, answering questions from parents about daily school activities.
Maintain an appropriate and high level of confidentiality regarding the daily events that occur throughout the building.
Prepare and maintain all information related to students (except for health records), including running reports, updating information district systems, and communicating information as needed.
Facilitate proper working order and upkeep of office equipment including copy machines, walkie-talkies, laminator, shredder, etc.
Execute all written, verbal, and electronic communication, as directed, including correspondence within building, throughout district, and with the community.
Process money taken in at the building level, maintain accurate records, and follow established procedures with the district business office.
Order and distribute office supplies, equipment and related materials.
Enter and track purchase orders.
Assist with overseeing building budget.
Distribute US mail and district mail to building faculty.
Assist students, parents, staff, and administrators in school related issues on a daily basis.
Assist in the health office as needed.
Perform other tasks as assigned by supervisor.
Requirements include:
High School Diploma, Ability to use effective and positive interpersonal communication skills Adaptability to performing a variety of duties, often changing from one task to another of a different nature without loss of efficiency or composure Demonstration of high levels of flexibility, articulation, concentration, confidentiality, and organization Ability to use Microsoft Office Familiarity with Skyward, Absence Management and Synergy systems a plus Sitting, standing, bending, walking Email To A Friend Print Version.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
