Position Overview
Our client located in Crystal Lake, IL is looking for a Network Administrator for a contract that will last at least 6 months, and this person must be open to potentially crossing over to full-time employment (not guaranteeing you will, just that you are open and available to it). In this role you will be responsible for patching, managing, and maintaining WAN, LAN, and WLAN, as well as network optimization and availability solutions. This will include all phases of monitoring and troubleshooting. In this role you will focus on guaranteeing all systems are adjusted for optimum performance, are providing required information to end-users, and are working together correctly with other systems.
Responsibilities
o Offers technical support in the development, testing and operation of LAN, WAN and WLAN
o Completes intricate product evaluations
o Recommend and put into practice services and products for network services
o Validate and test network architecture and design solutions
o Identify and manage installs, modifications and/or replacements of both hardware and software components, as well as configuration changes
o Offer detailed technical supervision and implementation of network directives, procedures and standards
o Complete network monitoring and analysis, performance tubing and troubleshooting in order to maintain network performance
o Offer tech support to internal IS teams and end users
Requirements
o Experience supporting enterprise-level networks over multiple locations, including day to day problem analysis
o Experience with IP networking, networking protocols, and good knowledge of related technologies
o Experience with applications, web, internet and network techniques
o Relevant networking technologies experience, including Cisco IOS, Windows, Linux, F5, etc.
Nice to have:
o CCNA/CCNP preferred
o Experience with enterprise-level firewalls for routing and security rule changes
o Ability to troubleshoot and resolve network/operating system security issues
o Capable of performing and interpreting vulnerability assessments
o ITIL experience

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
