Metrology Specialist

The person will be responsible for establishment and calibration of gages and fixtures including verification and adjustment (repair) as necessary, directly performing work and interfacing with subcontractors as necessary. Will issue and recall gages and fixtures from all points of use. Our client uses Infiniti QS calibration management software. When appropriate, will provide guidance and direction to inspectors and production staff regarding measurement systems; will implement measurement systems analysis as directed and needed; will advise of opportunities for improvement in measurement systems.
Strong background in statistics (practical manufacturing applications) required.
Strong PPAP experience a plus.
Ability to program vision measurement systems (i.e. Starrett) a plus.
We do not expect this position to perform day-to-day inspections, but we will want the person to be able and willing to fill out based on vacations, etc.
